Our achievements

The LISOD Breast Center was set up in 2010. In 2012 it was registered in the international network of breast centers called BreastCentersNetwork. The LISOD Breast Center has been an affiliated member of the BreastCentersNetwork since 2015.

The first mammological forum in Ukraine, the Ukrainian International Mammological Conference was organized and held at the LISOD Breast Center (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018).

The first two-week educational course in oncoplastic surgery in Ukraine called “Reconstructive, plastic surgery and rehabilitation as part of the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with breast tumors” was held at the LISOD Breast Center. The course was set up together with the Department of Gynecologic Oncology of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and is held twice a year at the LISOD hospital (since 2015).

Additionally, the first international academic course for breast surgeons is organized and held at the LISOD Breast Center as part of the educational program of the Central Eastern European Breast Cancer Surgical Consortium (CEEBCSC) (2019, 2020).

Since 2020 the LISOD Breast Center entered the official list of training centers for breast surgeons of the BRESO European breast surgeon training and certification program.
